Ahoy Mateys! It's the 100th Day!

100 DAYS OF KINDERGARTEN?!?!?!  That sure went fast!

Today Pirate Pete hid 100 gold doubloons around our classroom and left us this note:

Once we read the note, students had to find the 100 doubloons hidden around the classroom and put them in order!

It took them a little while, but we did it!

Once we got all the gold doubloons in order we were able to open the envelope.  Guess what was inside???  A TREASURE MAP!  We had to very quietly sneak through the hallway to find the X.  We located Pirate Pete's Treasure in the TEACHER'S LOUNGE!!!

The students were SO excited to find Pirate Pete's treasure and worked really hard on identifying numbers and putting them in order.  Their patience while waiting their turn was impressive.

Some other fun 100's day activities included 100 chart mystery pictures, the I Can Count to 100 song, and a special 100's day snack.  Thank you so much to everyone who donated.  We are all set for snack for quite a while now!  You guys are the best!

We had a great 100th day and are looking forward to the next 80 days!  Just a reminder that conferences are next week on Wednesday and Thursday with NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 7th.  Information about Valentine's Day will be coming home later this week.
