St. Patrick's Day

We decided to try being nice to the leprechauns this year and we wrote them notes promising not to trap them and it worked!

This morning when the kids came in we had a note from the leprechaun and he left us a treasure chest.

We were excited to have some special learning centers today just for St. Patrick's day!  They were new and exciting.

We did some special writing to say what we would do if we found a pot of gold.  Lots of kids want to buy new cars.

For math we played a fun math game and did some fun math centers!

Overall, we had a great day today!

Here are some pictures our our shamrock craft we made last week too!

Thanks for all the snack and water donations!  We are all set for a while!  You guys are the best!

Read Across America Week

We have been having a blast this week celebrating all things reading!  Reading bags have stayed at school this week.  As the end of quarter nears, I am assessing students this week and adjusting book bags to best fit your child's needs.  When they come home again they will only have a couple books in there as we are keeping the current ones at our desk so we have books to practice reading at school as well.  Some friends will also have some sight word practice activities in their reading bags too!

Pigeons have been hiding in our school all week!  Can you believe it?  We go on a pigeon hunt every day and find where they are hiding.  It is so much fun!

Monday was crazy sock day.

Tuesday was wear a shirt with words day!

Wednesday was wear your favorite color day!

Today was super hero day!

Tomorrow is pajama day.  We will be having popcorn and watching a short movie tomorrow afternoon!

Today we did a craft in class to hang up for the month of March.  We made shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day!
